By following the previous Create a Mapping documentation, mappings will be available in the Impowr tab. In order to use the mapping within the File Import Component, they need to be activated by creating a Mapping Template record in Salesforce.
Step 1: Copy the JSON
- Navigate to the Impowr tab.
- Select Preferences at the top of the Impowr tab.
- Scroll down and locate the Mapping List section.
- Identify the mapping you want to activate. Use the search to assist if needed.
- Select View JSON on the mapping that you would like to activate.
- A modal will appear containing the JSON needed to activate the mapping.
- Press the Copy icon to place the JSON on your clipboard.
Step 2: Create a Mapping Template Record
- Use the Salesforce App Launcher to navigate to Mapping Templates.
- Create a Mapping Template record by selecting the New button
- Enter a descriptive Name that reflects the purpose of the mapping.
- Provide a unique Developer Name.
- Paste the JSON copied form Step 1 into the Mapping (JSON) field.
- Click Save.
The mapping is now activated in the Salesforce org and ready to be assigned to an Impowr File Import Component.
